1. How do I become a member of the Open Door Website?

Once you are on the homepage (www.opendoorfamily.com) click the Login button on the right that is in red text. Once the page has loaded you will see the option to pick a letter. Pick the first letter of your last name and then click the Sign In button. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the blue text that says “My name is not listed...” Fill out the form and click Add me! An e-mail will be sent to you with further instructions on what to do.

2. Do I have to be a member of Open Door to become a member of the website?

Yes, you have to be a member of our church before you can be a member of our online community. There are various reason's why this the case. If you have any questions on this matter please contact the church office at (804)-379-4480.

3. What if I have forgotten my password?

If you have forgotten your password you can ask for it to be reset. This is how you would do that. Once you are on the homepage (www.opendoorfamily.com) click the Login button on the right that is in red text. Once the page has loaded you will see the option to pick a letter. Pick the first letter of your last name and then click the Sign In button. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the blue text that says “I forgot my password...” and follow the instructions. The administrator will reset your password and send an e-mail letting you know what it is.

4. What is a member profile?

   A member profile is a profile with all your information in it that is available for members to see. It has a whole lot of different things in it all of which you can edit at any time that you want.

5. How long does it take after I request to become a member for it to be processed?

   It takes 24 to 48 hours for your membership to be processed. Once it is processed you will receive an e-mail letting you know. Once you receive that e-mail you are then aloud to login under your name and password.

6. Who will see my information once entered?

   The only ones that will see your information once you enter it in is the administrator (which are people from church) and other members of the Open Door Website. Your password is only seen once by the administrator to enter it into the system and then thereafter can no longer be seen by anybody. If you do forget your password you can request a new one to be set. The administrator will then reset your password and set as something else and e-mail you with the reset password. All the information such as your phone number, e-mail address, and address will only be seen by members of the Open Door website that are logged in. NO ONE else can see any information on you.
